Obtaining the
UAE Entry Permit will now take just 15 seconds. It is owing to the AI – Artificial Intelligence being used by the
GDRFA automated system. This was announced by an official of the General
Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
Entry Permit 50+
has issued Electronic Visas with no human intervention said Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri.
He is the GDRFA-Dubai’s Director General. He said that the new project utilizes
AI technology. It will permit us to offer UAE Entry Permit within 15 seconds,
added Al Merri. This helps in offering excellent services to our customers,
explained the Major General.
Al Merri said
that AI helps to quickly scan documents
without faults. This has reduced the numbers of visitors at our Service
Centres, he informed.
The 50+ project
implies that GDRFA has completed 50
years in its projects. The system has decreased the figures of visitors to
the Service Centres by 99%. It has also enhanced happiness levels of customers
to 95%, as quoted by the Khaleej Times.
The new system
has helped to reduce the time to 15
seconds from 6 hours said Colonel Omar Ali Al Shamsi. This is for documents
scanning and offering the Entry Permit, added Shamsi. He is the Entry and
Residency Permits’ Assistant Director-General.
The UAE Entry
Permit will be offered in 15 seconds if the applicant applies with all
necessary documents said Shamsi. We are now the fastest authority globally to offer Entry Permits, he added.
The new system
is aligned with all Government agencies. This permits quicker checks for security on the applicant. This is to learn if
the individual is wanted or not.
Al Shamsi said
that the new program is applicable to all Entry permits. This is inclusive of UAE Visit Visas and their renewals, he
informed.
