The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) enables designated employers in Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island) to hire skilled foreign workers or recent graduates—including those already in Canada—for permanent residence. Eligible candidates require a qualifying job offer, plus meet education, work experience, language ability, and settlement funds criteria if not already working in Canada. AIP also offers temporary work permits (up to two years) to bridge workers while their PR applications are processed.
