International individuals who are not residents of EU/EEA countries and want to stay in Sweden for more than three months must apply for a residence permit. The permit authorizes the individuals to reside in the country and pursue activities such as work or study.
Candidates who apply for the residence permit must hold a substantive work, study, or dependent visa of Sweden.
