To be eligible to sponsor a family member to come to Canada, you must be over 18 years of age and have Canadian citizenship or PR status. You must also currently be living in Canada or plan to return once your spouse gets the sponsorship. As a sponsor, you must be able to provide the family's basic financial needs for three years.
