1, 400 plus candidates in Express Entry have been invited to apply for Canada PR by Canadian provinces in just past 5 days. This is through a Provincial Nomination. This is owing to impressive activity in the recent week among Provincial Nominee Streams in Canada. These are the ones that are aligned with the Federal Express Entry system.
These streams
permit territories and provinces in Canada to select candidates for immigration to the nation. This is in the
pool of Express Entry. The applicants must fulfil the specific labour market
needs of the nominating PNPs, as quoted by the CIC News.
Within a week,
1,400 plus ITAs for Canada PR were offered to candidates in the Express Entry
through 2 draws. These were conducted through the Labour Market Priorities Stream of Nova Scotia and Human Capital Priorities Stream of
Ontario.
Both these
streams are also known as ‘passive’ streams for nominations. These seek
candidates in the Express Entry pool with distinct profiles.
The draw held
through Human Capital Priorities Stream offered 1, 072 NOIs - Notifications of Interest to candidates
in the Express Entry pool. These had employment experience in 10 occupations.
These ranged from Financial Auditors to
Nurses and Business Management Consultants along with other criteria.
The draw held
through Labour Market Priorities Stream in Nova Scotia offered 312 LOIs - Letters of Interest to candidates in
Express Entry. These had qualified employment experience as Educators and Assistants - Early Childhood.
Ontario invited
only those candidates in Express Entry who had CRS scores in the range of 439
and 469. However, any minimum CRS score
requirement was not mandated by Nova Scotia in its draw.
Alberta Express Entry Stream was another passive stream aligned with Express Entry that was
active in the past few weeks. It offered 316 Notifications of Interest to candidates in Express Entry in May.
The Alberta draw
offered priority to candidates with a strong affinity to the province.
Alternatively, they had the ability to support diversification priorities and
economic development in Alberta. Alberta invited those candidates in Express
Entry who had CRS scores as less as 301.
Since the
beginning of May, streams in 7 Canadian provinces have been active. These are Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island,
Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. These have
collectively offered 2,000 plus Canada PR ITAs to candidates in Express Entry
through a provincial nomination.
